Our flagship program
Food Safety and Everyday Cooking Skills
A practical, hands-on program that builds safe, repeatable kitchen routines—planning meals, shopping, food hygiene, preparation, cooking, storage, and safe clean-up. Participants develop independence and confidence through visual steps, checklists, and real-world community practice that links directly to everyday living goals.
Explore Our Packages
Each packet is grounded in a person-centred, strengths-based approach—supporting participants to build independence, confidence and choice and control through practical learning in everyday settings. Programs can be delivered as written, or we can tailor a customised skill development package to a participant’s individual goals, communication style, sensory needs, access requirements and preferred pace. The focus remains on meaningful outcomes: community and social participation, routine-building, self-management, and transferable skills that strengthen everyday living and future pathways.

Landscaping and Kitchen Gardens
A strengths-based outdoor program focused on plant care, soil and compost, watering, weather and sunlight, kitchen-garden planning, lawn maintenance, native and sensory gardens, and “farm to fork” connections. Participants build routine, teamwork and practical skills through supported tasks, community outings, and meaningful projects.
Life Skills and Employability Pathway
A structured pathway that builds everyday independence alongside workplace-ready habits. Participants practise communication, time management, budgeting, travel training, digital skills, WHS awareness, teamwork, and problem-solving—linking directly to real-world participation, volunteering and employment readiness.
Photography and Digital Image Skills
A creative, skill-building program that teaches participants how to plan, capture, edit and share photo images using a simple workflow. It supports confidence, communication and digital capability—building a portfolio that can connect to hobbies, community participation, or employability pathways.
Social Skills and Community Participation
A supportive peer program where participants learn communication and friendship skills through explicit teaching, role-play and real-world practice. The ethos is always forward-facing: building confidence and capability that leads to genuine social connection and community participation opportunities, with excursions shaped by the cohort.
Testimonial - Tyneside Disabilities
I have had the pleasure of working alongside Jane Witshire for the past four years, and I can confidently say that her expertise and dedication to training development in the disability and healthcare sectors is unparalleled. Jane is incredibly accommodating, adaptable, and knowledgeable, which makes her an invaluable asset to any team.
One of the standout training programs that Jane has developed is the Onboarding Skill Set (clustered units), which addresses a critical gap in industry onboarding—providing practical, compliance-aligned foundations that support workers need immediately. This program is a well-structured pathway into the full Certificate III and includes essential units such as infection prevention, safe work practices, manual task safety, and individualised support.
Jane’s delivery model is outstanding, combining online learning with face-to-face workshops. Her approach ensures that participants engage with both the theory and practical application in a way that’s accessible and effective, even for busy staff. I have been particularly impressed with the emphasis Jane places on safe practice, documentation, and performance evidence in simulated environments, which is crucial in fostering the confidence and competence needed for staff to provide the highest standard of care.
Additionally, Jane is always open to feedback and adapts her programs to best suit the needs of her learners. Her commitment to ongoing professional development is evident in her second offering, a workshop-based skill development series that further enhances support for individuals with disabilities.
Overall, Jane is a true professional whose ability to design and deliver impactful training programs has made a significant difference in the development of our teams and the quality of care we provide. I wholeheartedly recommend Jane for any future training or development initiatives.
